Prevent Dry Mouth When I Wake Up in the Morning

Some people often experience dry mouth when I wake up. Although not a sign of a serious, but when I woke up dry mouth can be caused by unhealthy lifestyles. This condition can be made more unpleasant mouth odor.

Dry mouth or xerostomia occurs because the saliva to the mucous membranes lining the mouth is reduced. In fact, saliva is very important for health because it helps in digestion of food, protects teeth from decay, kills bacteria and germs, and help the process of chewing and swallowing.

People who suffer from dry mouth (xerostomia) in the morning experiencing symptoms such as dry mouth in general, including cracked lips, bad breath and difficulty swallowing.

Morning dry mouth are usually caused by several things, among others:

Side effects of some drugs Dysfunctional Alcohol and caffeine salivary glands Lack of humidity in the room continuously breathing through the mouth during sleep.

Here are some things you can do to prevent the occurrence of dry mouth in the morning:

Avoid eating sugary or acidic foods before bedtime Avoid washing the mouth with a mouthwash that contains alcohol No smoking No caffeine or alcohol Drink plenty of water throughout the day If you have difficulty breathing through the nose at night, try using a decongestant to clear your nostrils.
